NSW: Iemma inexperienced, lacking economic credibility: Debnam

The New South Wales opposition says a gaffe by Premier MORRIS IEMMA .. in which he
called on the Commonwealth to reduce interest rates .. shows he's inexperienced and lacking
economic credibility.

While commenting on new housing affordability research .. Mr IEMMA said the Commonwealth
could help out young homebuyers by dropping rates.

Opposition leader PETER DEBNAM says the gaffe about rates .. which are set by the Reserve
Bank .. not the government .. has revealed Mr IEMMA'S inexperience.
