FED: Throw the book at immigration escapees: Ruddock
SYDNEY, Feb 5 AAP - People involved in this week's breakout from the Woomera detentioncentre deserved to have the book thrown at them, Immigration Minister Philip Ruddock saidtoday.
Mr Ruddock's comments followed the overnight arrest of four of the six men who escapedfrom the South Australian facility on Monday.
A 24-year-old Queensland man alleged to have helped the detainees escape was also takeninto custody.
Mr Ruddock said the five men would be charged over the breakout.
"This was a very, very serious matter," he told Sydney radio 2GB.
