Fed: Top general's visit "thank you" for missiles - academic

CANBERRA, Jan 14 AAP - Top US military officer General Richard Myers' Australian visit
this week would be a "thank you" for the government's cooperation with the US missile
shield project, an Australian academic said today.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff will meet Prime Minister John Howard on Friday
