NSW:Fraser said both side of politics have abandoned leadership
Former prime minister MALCOLM FRASER says both sides of politics have abandoned leadershipand united in policies of rejection on the asylum seeker issue.
Mr FRASER says the government and the opposition have reversed successful policiesof the past in overreacting to the arrival of boat people from Afghanistan seeking refuge.
He's made the comments in a speech accepting an honorary doctorate from the Universityof Technology, Sydney.
The University's also conferred the same honorary degree to former Governor-GeneralSir WILLIAM DEANE at the ceremony.
